Please keep in mind:

All dogs are different in their ability to learn. We recommend starting your youngster at 5 to 6 months of age.  You and Your dog will benefit greatly from an early start.  The earlier you get started imprinting good habits... The less likely your pup will begin developing bad ones.

We believe a customized approach in your dog's training program will ensure maximum fun, success and enthusiasm for both you and your dog. All of our training programs can be modified to fit you and your dog's personality and specific needs. Not all dogs will follow the agenda set out in our training program. This is okay, we understand and have no problem in individualizing any training process.

We will let you know with all honesty how your dog is progressing.  You and your dog will be treated fairly and with the utmost respect at all times.  Remember, while the training outline is the same for each canine, the method and pace may differ based on the your dog's temperament, socialization, and ability to learn.

We limit the number of dogs we train at one time so that we can ensure that we are giving all of our dog’s quality training time. We have access to thousands of acres of  quality training grounds and ponds that will challenge any level of Retriever,

Training starts with the very first contact in a puppyʼs life and continues throughout their adult life.  Dogs learn in small increments over long periods of time.  Therefore we break down every lesson into the smallest increments possible.

We teach and then reinforce every command.  Every great Retriever must be taught to escape pressure by responding to a command and then to comply with a command quickly in order avoid pressure all together.

Early Puppy development is very important and must not be overlooked but we do not begin formal training until your puppy's adult teeth have all grown in which is usually around 6 months of age... Each stage of training has two sides.  What we call "Yard Work" and "Field Work". The amount of time spent on one side or the other will be constantly be changing throughout a dogʼs life in order to always maintain balance in their training.
